Keywords Vs. Targets in Merch Jar

In Merch Jar, we categorize targeting options into two primary types: "keywords" and "targets," reflecting the Amazon Advertising API's structure. This categorization is essential for efficient campaign management on our platform.

Keywords

"Keywords" cover all keyword match types, including:

  • Exact Match
  • Phrase Match
  • Broad Match

Targets

"Targets" comprise all other targeting options:

  • Automatic Targeting Groups
  • ASIN Targets
  • Expanded ASIN Targets
  • Category Targets

This structural approach is evident within the Ad Manager, which features separate pages for Keywords and Targets. Similarly, in Recipes, these are treated as distinct data sources.
