Old to new column names, every report

Sponsored Products, seller accounts, 7-day window. New names are the column names in Amazon's new Reporting. The Search term, Targeting and Advertised product names are checked against real exports; the rest come from Amazon's reporting documentation, so a few may be spelled differently in yours.

How to use the converter

  1. 1Drop in an old saved export, or a new one.
  2. 2The converter tells you which format and report it is, then gives you a CSV with the new column names, plus the old and new names for that report and the template that replaces it.
  3. 3To check a rebuilt report, download it for the same dates as an old export you saved and drop in both. The totals table shows the gap for spend, clicks, sales, purchases and rows.

FAQ

What changed

Amazon made unified reporting generally available in June 2026, and its notice said the old Sponsored ads and DSP report pages would close by December 31, 2026. By October 2026 they were already gone from the accounts we checked. Reports now live under Measurement & Reporting, then Reporting, where All templates has Search term, Targeting, Advertised product, Campaign, Placement and more, or you can build a custom report.

That leaves two jobs. Old exports and spreadsheets you saved still use the old column names, and old scheduled reports need rebuilding in the new templates. The converter handles the first, and the checklist covers the second.

The column changes that break spreadsheets

Most columns are renamed rather than removed. These are the changes that trip up a formula or a script.

  • Spend becomes Total cost, and 7 Day Total Orders becomes Purchases.
  • 7 Day Total Sales becomes Sales. The window leaves the name, and Sales is promoted plus halo sales, the old total.
  • There is no ACOS metric. Work it out as Total cost divided by Sales.
  • Customer Search Term becomes Search term, and Match Type becomes Targeting match type.
  • Advertised ASIN becomes Advertised product ID, Purchased ASIN becomes Converted product ID, and Other SKU becomes halo.
  • Start Date and End Date become one Date range column, and each row carries its own range: the days that row covers.
  • Currency becomes Budget currency, and ID columns arrive as ="123..." text so Excel keeps every digit.

We checked these against real Search term, Targeting and Advertised product exports in October 2026. The converter matches several spellings of each column and shows you how it read every one, in case Amazon renames any.

Will old and new numbers match?

Close, for Sponsored Products. Unified reporting counts a sale on the date of the ad click, and Amazon's docs say sponsored ads already did, so the switch mostly affects DSP. The seller window is still 7 days. Third parties still report gaps between old and new files, so compare one full period before you retire a report.

Row counts can differ even when spend matches. The old search term report included searches with zero clicks, and the new Search term template lists searches with at least one click.

Old reports with no template

The new Reporting has no Budget template. A daily Campaign report with your budgets answers the same question, and the deal-day budget check reads it and can take the budgets from your bulk file. Performance over time becomes a Campaign report by Date, Week or Month. Search term impression share and Top-of-search impression share have templates of their own.
